SPECIAL FIREFIGHTING PROCEDURES: Eliminate all sources of ignition. Wear self contained breathing apparatus
when fighting fires containing or around this product. Shut off all sources of ignition. Keep exposed containers cool with water
spray to prevent rupture. Evacuate
area. Wear full protective clothing
including helmet. Ventilate area. Contain spill and dike if possible. Product could float on water and re-ignite. |
|

|
UNUSUAL FIRE AND EXPLOSION
HAZARDS: Firefighters should wear SCBAs in positive pressure mode with full face
shield. Vapors heavier than air may travel, be ignited at remote locations, and flash
back. Explosive air-vapor mixtures may
occur . |

STABILITY: Stable.
Avoid open flames, high temperatures (above 120°F) and direct
sunlight. |
|
INCOMPATIBILITY: Strong oxidizers, selected amines, strong
acids or bases. |
|
HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS: Carbon monoxide and carbon
dioxide may be formed on burning in limited air supply. |
|
HAZARDOUS POLYMERIZATION: Will not
occur. |
|
SECTION VI- HEALTH HAZARD DATA |
SYMPTOMS
OF OVEREXPOSURE:
|
EYES: |
Could cause excessive redness,
irritation, burning and blurred vision. |
|
SKIN: |
Could be moderately irritating and
cause redness, edema, or drying of the skin. |
|
SKIN
AND EYE CONTACT HEALTH RISKS AND SYMPTOMS OF EXPOSURE: |
|
EYES:
Immediately flush eyes with large amounts of water for at least 15
minutes. Hold eyelids apart to ensure
complete flushing. Do not attempt to
neutralize with chemical agents. Get
medical help immediately. |
|
SKIN:
Remove contaminated clothing and flush skin with water. Wash with soap
and water until material has been removed.
Get medical help. SKIN
ABSORPTION: Prolonged or widespread
skin contact may result
in the absorption of potentially harmful amounts of material. |
|
INGESTION: If parge amounts
are ingested, abdominal discomfort, nausea, and diarrhea may occur. Aspiration may occur during swallowing or
vomiting resulting in lung damage. |
|
INHALATION: Vapors and mist may be irritating and cause
discomfort in nose and throat, nasal discharge, and coughing. Prolonged over-exposure may cause
difficulty in breathing, headache, nausea, vomiting and drowsiness. |
|
SYSTEMIC AND OTHER EFFECTS: Nausea, vomiting and drowsiness. Prolonged overexposure can cause damage to
the peripheral nervous system of humans.
Symptoms include numbness and muscle weakness in hands, fingers and
toes |
|
EMERGENCY
AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES: |
|
EYES:
Flush with water for at least 15 minutes, raising each eyelid to
ensure complete flushing. If
irritation persists, get medical attention immediately. |
|
SKIN:
Wash thoroughly with soap and water for at least 15 minutes. Wash clothing before reuse. If irritation
occurs and persists, Seek medical attention. |
|
INHALATION: Should symptoms noted under physiological
effects occur, remove to fresh air. If
not breathing, apply artificial respiration.
Call doctor immediately. |
|
INGESTION: Unlikely, as an aerosol. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Aspiration of the fluid can cause serious
lung injury, ie chemical premonitis. Call
doctor immediately. |
|
SECTION VII- ENVIRONMENTAL AND
DISPOSAL INFORMATION |
ACTION TO TAKE FOR SPILLS/LEAKS: Eliminate all ignition sources, including
internal combustion engines and power tools.
Ventilate area. Wear self
contained breathing apparatus. Contain
or dike spill. Cover with inorganic absorbant material.
Collect spilled material. Clean
up residue. Place in approved DOT
container for disposal.
WASTE DISPOSAL METHOD:
Remove to permitted waste disposal facility, in accordance with local,
state and federal regulations.
|
SECTION VIII- HANDLING AND
STORAGE |
|

containers. Keep away from heat,
sparks and open flame. Do not get in
eyes, on skin or clothing. Do not
breathe vapors, mist or gas. Do not
store or transfer to unmarked container.
Do not throw empty containers in trash compactor or into fire. Do not store in direct sunlight. Store containers below 120° F. Read label before using. Do not smoke when handling this product. |
